Lehigh Valley Chimney and Masonry SCAM!!!!
Brian Pearsall
I WAS ABOUT TO HIRE THIS SCAM ARTIST UNTIL I FOUND THIS!!!!
NOT GETTING MY MONEY SCAMMER!
A contractor was paid more than
$3,500 by a Bethlehem homeowner but the workman never
returned to complete the job, police said.
On top of that,
a city inspector told police the work performed by Brian Pearsall, 36, address
unknown, was not up to code and would have to be torn out and redone.
Carol Pratt in
February 2016 hired Pearsall to make repairs on a storm-damaged home in the 600
block of Hayes Street, police said.
Pratt paid
Pearsall $1,575 on Feb. 7, 2016, and he cashed the check, police said.
Pearsall worked
on the house four times between February and March before telling the homeowner
he needed more money to complete the job, according to police.
Pearsall told
investigators the work included moving siding from a portion of the home to
another; installing new gutters and downspouts; repairing a portion of the
upper roof; and begin building the lower portion of the roof. He told police he
used 2-by-8 sized lumber for the lower portion roof when police said he
actually used 2-by-4 sized lumber.
The victim ended
up paying Pearsall another $2,000 to complete the job and he cashed the check
March 31, according to police. But police allege he never returned to complete
the work.
The victim then
received another estimate from another contractor who deemed all the work done
by Pearsall deficient and needed to be undone before that contractor could
perform the proper repairs. Steve Recchio, city building inspector, agreed,
telling police no permit was drawn by Pearsall.
